Install in KiCad

  1. Download the ZIP. Choose a release above and save the package without extracting it.
  2. Open KiCad's Plugin and Content Manager. Choose Install from File and select the ZIP.
  3. Restart the schematic and PCB editors. Click the teal PCBAssist Companion toolbar button.
  4. Connect your account. In Companion, open Settings → Connection and sign in. Open a saved project to start a review or search Components.

Stay in control of changes

Companion presents proposed changes before applying them. Saved design edits require the relevant KiCad editors to be closed and the task's Access setting to allow the operation. Keep your design saved and rerun KiCad's native checks after applying a change.

For later versions, use Settings → Add-in updates in Companion to check your selected release channel, review the release notes and download an update.
